Ethnographic Museum (Etnografski Muzey) - old town Plovdiv
The lavishly articulate facade makes a striking figure. The house is now designated as a National Monument of Culture. The "Royal House" as it was called, has 12 big rooms and about 130 windows. The most striking feature of the museum is the wooden ceiling carvings; a different motif is displayed in each room. On the second floor, one sees an ornate rosette spanning the entire breadth and width of the room. Public concerts of Chamber music are presented in the beautiful courtyard throughout the summer months.
