Possession of the outstanding merchant Nikola Nedkovich and a classic representative of late symmetrical house from 1863. Many cultural performances take place there.
Restoration of the house did least interference and preserved the original to the utmost. This house illustrates how pompous design was gradually ousted by growing economie and home intimacy. The parlour is less spacious and accommodated to be used also as a living and dining room and the two storeys even have separate staircases. This house is an amazing combination of aesthetic vision and functional quest and an orriginal marriage of architectural forms and decorative means.
The monumental awe is toned down by the warmth of woodwork, old furniture, bronze and gilted ornamets.
Don’t lose your bearings in this magnificence: the two rooms looking south – the Green and the Red one – are the richest.
