The assumption of the Holy Virgin Orhodox churh - Plovdiv
In its present-day form the church was built in 1844 by master builders from Bratsigovo with voluntary donations by patriotic citizens of Plovdiv. In 1859, divine service was conducted here for the first time in Bulgarian, which marked the beginning of the movement for autonomous Bulgarian Church. The iconostasis in the church is made with woodcarving with gilt in Empire style and bears original 19th century icons painted by artists from the national Revival period. The founder of Bulgarian organised book publishing Hristo G. Danov is buried there.
